This 10-Minute BBQ Chicken Wrap is a quick and delicious meal featuring tender BBQ chicken, melted cheddar, and fresh vegetables wrapped in a warm flour tortilla. Perfect for a speedy lunch or dinner, it comes together with simple ingredients and a quick skillet toasty finish that gives a golden, crisp exterior.

Ingredients

Wrap and Sauce

  • 1 8-inch wrap or flour tortilla
  • 1 Tbsp BBQ sauce (15g)
  • 1 Tbsp light mayonnaise (optional)

Filling

  • 3 Tbsp thick shredded cheddar cheese (21g)
  • 1 Air Fryer BBQ chicken breast, chopped (or any leftover grilled/rotisserie chicken)
  • 2 Tbsp red onion, thinly sliced or diced
  • Handful of fresh spinach (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the tortilla: Lay the wrap flat and spread the BBQ sauce and light mayo, if using, in a line down the middle of the tortilla to build the base flavor.
  2. Add the filling: Layer the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the sauce, then add the chopped BBQ chicken on top. Follow with the red onion slices and spinach leaves if using. This creates a balanced mix of textures and flavors.
  3. Wrap it up: Carefully tuck in the sides of the tortilla and roll it tightly from the bottom up to form a wrap that holds all the fillings securely inside.
  4. Cook the wrap: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and lightly spray with cooking spray or add a small amount of oil. Once hot, place the wrap seam-side down and cook for 1-2 minutes until golden brown and sealed. Flip and cook the other side for another 1-2 minutes until the wrap is crisp and cheese inside is melted.

Notes

  • You can substitute BBQ chicken with leftover grilled or rotisserie chicken for convenience.
  • Adding fresh spinach is optional but adds a nice green crunch and nutrition boost.
  • If you prefer a spicier wrap, add some sliced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce.
  • For a lower calorie version, use a whole wheat or low-carb tortilla and reduced-fat cheese.
  • Use light mayonnaise or omit it entirely to reduce fat content.
