A rich and creamy Buckeye Dip that combines the classic flavors of peanut butter and chocolate into a sweet, easy-to-make dessert dip. Perfect for serving with graham crackers, teddy grahams, or apple slices, this no-bake dip comes together quickly and is a crowd-pleaser for parties or casual get-togethers.

Ingredients

Dip Ingredients

  • 1 8-oz package cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour, heat-treated in the microwave for 30 seconds
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups semi-sweet mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Mix Cream Cheese, Butter, and Peanut Butter: In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, unsalted butter, and creamy peanut butter together using an electric hand mixer until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy.
  2. Add Sugars, Flour, and Vanilla: Blend in the powdered sugar, brown sugar, heat-treated all-purpose flour, and vanilla extract until the mixture is well combined and no lumps remain.
  3. Fold in Chocolate Chips: Using a wooden spoon, gently fold the semi-sweet mini chocolate chips into the dip mixture to distribute them evenly without breaking.
  4. Chill the Dip: Transfer the dip to an airtight container or bowl and store it in the refrigerator until chilled and firm enough for serving, approximately 1-2 hours.
  5. Serve: Serve the Buckeye Dip cold with a variety of dippers such as teddy grahams, graham crackers, or fresh apple slices for a delicious treat.

Notes

  • Heat-treat the flour by microwaving it for 30 seconds to eliminate any harmful bacteria since the dip is not cooked.
  • Ensure cream cheese and butter are fully softened at room temperature for a smooth, lump-free dip.
  • For an even richer taste, you can use chunky peanut butter instead of creamy for texture variation.
  • This dip can be stored covered in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
  • Feel free to substitute mini chocolate chips with chopped peanuts or other chocolate chips as desired.
