These Bunny Pretzels are a fun and festive treat perfect for springtime celebrations or Easter. Made with crunchy pretzel twists filled and decorated with colored melted white chocolate, they are both adorable and delicious. The recipe involves melting white chocolate almond bark, filling the pretzels, and using food coloring to create cute bunny features like ears, eyes, and noses. With simple ingredients and easy steps, these bunny-shaped snacks make an excellent party platter item or a delightful homemade gift.

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 3 squares White Chocolate Almond Bark (melted)
  • 24 Pretzel Twists (preferably flat)
  • Pink Food Coloring Gel
  • Black Food Coloring Gel

Instructions

  1. Prepare the workspace: Lay out a large piece of parchment paper on a clean counter or table. Select flat pretzel twists as they are easier to work with and arrange them neatly on the parchment paper.
  2. Melt the chocolate: Melt the 3 squares of white chocolate almond bark in the microwave, stirring every 20-30 seconds to ensure even melting and prevent burning.
  3. Fill pretzels: Gently fill the open spaces within each pretzel twist with the melted white chocolate. Allow the chocolate to set for about 30 minutes until firm.
  4. Separate colored chocolates: Carefully turn each pretzel over. Reserve some of the leftover melted white chocolate by placing approximately 3 tablespoons into one small dish and 2 tablespoons into another.
  5. Add color to chocolate: Mix pink food coloring gel into the 3 tablespoons of white chocolate to create pink chocolate. Similarly, add black food coloring gel into the 2 tablespoons of white chocolate to make black chocolate.
  6. Decorate eyes: Using a toothpick dipped into the black colored chocolate, place two small black dots in the lower open space of each pretzel to form the bunny's eyes.
  7. Decorate nose and ears: Use a toothpick dipped in the pink chocolate to place a small dot for the bunny's nose in the center lower space of each pretzel. Then fill the two upper open spaces of the pretzel with pink chocolate to create the bunny ears.
  8. Allow to set: Let the decorated pretzels sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes until the chocolate has fully set and dried.
  9. Serve and enjoy: Once the chocolate is set, your Bunny Pretzels are ready to be served or enjoyed at your festive gathering.

Notes

  • Choose flat pretzel twists for easier filling and decorating.
  • Stir the chocolate frequently while melting to avoid burning and ensure smooth texture.
  • Use toothpicks for precise placement of colored chocolate decor.
  • Allow plenty of time for chocolate to fully set before serving for best appearance and texture.
  • Store finished pretzels in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
