Delight in these no-bake Butterfinger Balls, a sweet and crunchy treat combining creamy peanut butter, buttery graham cracker crumbs, and crunchy Butterfinger pieces, all coated in rich melted chocolate. Perfect for holiday parties or anytime you crave a decadent homemade candy.

Ingredients

Peanut Butter Mixture

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter (not all natural types)
  • 4 tablespoons butter, softened (1/2 stick)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • ¾ cup graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup crushed Butterfinger bars

Chocolate Coating

  • 8 ounces chocolate bark or chocolate chips

Garnish

  • Additional crushed Butterfingers
  • Holiday sprinkles or coarse salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix Peanut Butter and Butter: In a medium bowl, add the peanut butter and softened butter. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until well combined and creamy. Alternatively, use a stand mixer with the paddle attachment for ease.
  2. Add Vanilla Extract: Blend in the vanilla extract until fully incorporated, enhancing the flavor profile.
  3. Incorporate Powdered Sugar: Gradually add powdered sugar in batches, mixing on low speed. Scrape down the sides occasionally to ensure an even mixture without lumps.
  4. Fold in Dry Ingredients: Gently stir in the graham cracker crumbs and crushed Butterfinger pieces carefully ensuring an even distribution without overmixing.
  5. Form Balls: Line a large cookie sheet with parchment paper. Scoop 1 to 1 ½ tablespoons of dough and roll into smooth balls, placing them evenly spaced on the sheet.
  6. Freeze to Chill: Place the baking sheet in the freezer for approximately 30 minutes to allow the balls to firm up completely.
  7. Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate at 50% power in 30-second intervals, stirring in between. Remove while a few chunks remain and stir thoroughly until smooth to avoid overheating.
  8. Dip the Balls: Dip each chilled ball into the melted chocolate, either fully coating them or leaving a portion exposed, according to preference.
  9. Garnish: Immediately sprinkle over additional crushed Butterfinger pieces, holiday sprinkles, or flakey sea salt before the chocolate sets.
  10. Set Chocolate and Serve: Allow the chocolate coating to solidify completely at room temperature or in the fridge before serving these delicious treats.

Notes

  • Use creamy peanut butter that is not natural for proper consistency and sweetness.
  • Be careful when melting chocolate; overheating can cause it to seize and become grainy.
  • Crushing Butterfinger bars finely will help distribute their crunch throughout the balls.
  • The recipe yields about 20 bite-sized balls suitable for sharing or gifting.
  • These Butterfinger Balls can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week.
