Delicious and nutritious Cinnamon-Raisin Overnight Oats that are easy to prepare and perfect for a quick, healthy breakfast. Packed with fiber, protein, and natural sweetness from raisins and banana, this recipe offers a creamy and satisfying start to your day without any cooking involved.

Ingredients

Base Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup quick oats (organic or gluten-free)
  • 1 tablespoon ground flax seeds
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)

Flavorings & Sweeteners

  • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Monk fruit sweetener or stevia (to taste, or your favorite sweetener)
  • 1 tablespoon dried raisins (plus optional more for topping)

Toppings

  • 1 small banana (sliced)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped walnuts (or hemp seeds, or any nuts or seeds)

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: Add oats, ground flax seeds, chia seeds, almond milk, cinnamon, sweetener, and dried raisins into a mason jar or a storage container with a lid. Stir thoroughly to mix all the ingredients evenly.
  2. Refrigerate: Place the jar or container in the refrigerator and let it soak overnight, ideally 8 hours. If you're short on time, a minimum soak of 3 to 4 hours will work to soften the oats and chia seeds.
  3. Stir Before Serving: In the morning, remove the lid and stir the oats well. If the mixture is too thick, add a splash of almond milk or your preferred milk to loosen the consistency to your liking.
  4. Add Toppings: Top the soaked oats with sliced banana, chopped walnuts, and any additional raisins or berries you like to enhance flavor and texture.
  5. Serve: Enjoy your oats directly from the jar for convenience, or transfer to a bowl for a more traditional breakfast presentation.

Notes

  • Quick oats are recommended for a softer texture, but rolled oats can be used if soaked longer.
  • Adjust sweetness according to your preference by varying the amount of monk fruit sweetener or stevia.
  • You can substitute raisins with other dried fruits like cranberries or chopped dates.
  • For added protein, consider stirring in a spoonful of Greek yogurt before serving.
  • Overnight oats can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
