These Cranberry Turkey Sliders are a delightful mix of tender turkey, melted provolone, peppery arugula, and a sweet-tart whole berry cranberry sauce, all nestled in soft King's Hawaiian rolls. Topped with a flavorful buttery glaze infused with Dijon mustard, poppy seeds, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder, then baked to golden perfection, they make for an irresistible appetizer or party snack ready in just 25 minutes.

Ingredients

Slider Ingredients

  • 12 King’s Hawaiian dinner rolls
  • 1 lb deli sliced turkey or leftover turkey meat
  • 12 slices provolone cheese
  • 1 cup arugula leaves
  • 1 cup whole berry cranberry sauce

Butter Glaze

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons poppy seeds
  • 1 ½ teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat and prep: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ease cleanup.
  2. Build the base: Carefully slice the slider buns in half horizontally, keeping them connected if possible to simplify assembly and serving. Place the bottom halves on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Layer it up: Evenly distribute the sliced turkey over the bottom buns. Top each with a slice of provolone cheese, followed by a handful of fresh arugula leaves. Generously spread the whole berry cranberry sauce over the arugula to add that perfect sweet-tart balance.
  4. Top it off: Place the top halves of the buns back onto the assembled sliders, completing the sandwiches.
  5. Make the butter glaze: In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine the butter, Dijon mustard, poppy seeds, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder. Microwave for about 10 seconds, or until the butter melts, then stir thoroughly to blend all the flavors together.
  6. Brush and bake: Using a pastry brush, evenly coat the tops of the buns with the buttery glaze. Loosely cover the sliders with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes until the cheese melts and the sliders are heated through. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 5 minutes to toast the tops of the buns to a golden brown.
  7. Serve: Allow the sliders to cool slightly before slicing into individual servings. Serve warm and enjoy this crowd-pleasing treat that’s sure to disappear fast!

Notes

  • You can substitute leftover roasted turkey if available to add homemade depth of flavor.
  • Keep the rolls connected when slicing to simplify serving and presentation.
  • Brush the butter glaze generously for best flavor and a nicely browned top crust.
  • Use whole berry cranberry sauce for texture; jellied sauce can work but changes the mouthfeel.
  • Serve these sliders warm for optimal melty cheese and flavor combination.
  • These sliders are perfect for game day, parties, or holiday appetizers.
