Ingredients

Wrap and Toppings

  • ¾ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 24 dill pickle slices
  • Seasoned ground beef (amount as desired, approximately ½ cup cooked)
  • Caramelized onions (about ¼ cup)
  • Romaine lettuce (a few leaves, chopped)
  • Tomatoes (sliced, about ¼ cup)

Protein Burger Sauce

  • ½ cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons pickle juice
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ensure easy cleanup.
  2. Form the Cheese Base: Evenly spread the shredded mozzarella cheese on the parchment-lined baking sheet, shaping it into a rectangle using your hands for an even crust.
  3. Add Pickles: Pat the dill pickle slices dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Press the pickles into the cheese in six rows of four slices each, ensuring they embed well.
  4. Bake the Cheese and Pickle Crust: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes or until the edges of the cheese have browned and turned crispy. Remove the baking sheet and allow the crust to cool and harden for 5–6 minutes.
  5. Remove and Flip the Crust: Gently lift the baked cheese and pickle crust off the parchment paper and flip it over to prepare for assembly.
  6. Prepare Burger Sauce: In a bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, pickle juice, ketchup, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Mix thoroughly until smooth and well blended.
  7. Assemble the Wrap: On one side of the flipped crust, layer the seasoned cooked ground beef, caramelized onions, romaine lettuce, and tomato slices.
  8. Add Sauce and Fold: Spread the prepared protein burger sauce evenly over the fillings, then fold the wrap closed. Cut it in half and serve immediately for a crispy, savory, and tangy burger experience in a wrap form.
