Deviled Strawberries are a delightful and refreshing dessert featuring fresh strawberries filled with a creamy, sweet cheesecake-inspired filling, topped with crunchy graham cracker crumbs. This no-bake treat is easy to make and perfect for parties or a light dessert.

Ingredients

Strawberries

  • 3 lbs strawberries

Cheesecake Filling

  • 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream

Topping

  • 1/4 cup graham cracker crumbs (from 2 graham cracker sheets)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Strawberries: Wash all the strawberries thoroughly and dry them completely to avoid any water diluting the filling.
  2. Slice and Shape: Cut each strawberry in half lengthwise, then slice off the backside hump so the halves lay flat on a baking sheet, arranging them neatly.
  3. Make Cream Cheese Mixture: In a medium bowl, blend the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  4. Whip Cream: Add the heavy whipping cream to the cream cheese mixture and whip for about 2 minutes until the mixture slightly thickens and becomes fluffy.
  5. Fill Strawberries: Transfer the creamy filling into a piping bag or Ziploc bag with the corner snipped off, and pipe the filling onto each strawberry half evenly.
  6. Add Topping: Sprinkle graham cracker crumbs over each filled strawberry to add texture and flavor before serving.

Notes

  • Ensure strawberries are dry to help the filling adhere well.
  • Use softened cream cheese for easier mixing and a smooth filling.
  • Adjust the powdered sugar to taste if you prefer a sweeter or less sweet filling.
  • Chilling the filled strawberries for 10-15 minutes before serving enhances flavor and firmness.
  • This recipe serves 10 as a light dessert or appetizer.
