These Five Minute Garlic Parmesan Chicken Tenders are an easy, flavorful, and quick baked chicken dish perfect for weeknight dinners. Tender chicken tenderloins are coated in a creamy garlic parmesan mayo mixture, baked to juicy perfection, and optionally broiled for a golden cheesy crust.

Ingredients

Chicken

  • 2.5 pounds chicken tenderloins

Coating Sauce

  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 3/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese, divided
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Prepare a large baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or spraying it with nonstick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Make Coating Mixture: In a medium-sized bowl, combine the mayonnaise, 1/4 cup of shredded parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and salt. Stir until well blended to create a flavorful coating sauce.
  3. Coat Chicken: Add the chicken tenderloins to the bowl with the sauce and stir well to evenly coat each piece with the creamy garlic parmesan mixture.
  4. Arrange on Baking Sheet: Place the coated chicken tenderloins in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet to ensure even cooking and browning.
  5. Add Cheese Topping: Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded parmesan cheese over the top of the chicken pieces for extra cheesy flavor.
  6. Bake: Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for 15 to 25 minutes, until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C). For the best texture, remove from oven when thermometer reads about 158°F and allow the chicken to rest for a few minutes; carryover heat will finish the cooking.
  7. Optional Broil: For a golden, slightly crispy cheese topping, optionally broil the chicken for 2 to 3 minutes. Watch carefully to prevent burning.

Notes

  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken is cooked safely and remains juicy.
  • May substitute mayonnaise with Greek yogurt for a lighter version.
  • Serve with a side of steamed vegetables or a salad for a complete meal.
  • Leftover chicken can be refrigerated for up to 3 days and reheated gently.
  • If parmesan cheese is not available, you can use Pecorino Romano or another hard, aged cheese.
