Deliciously indulgent KitKat Truffles combine crushed KitKat bars with sweetened condensed milk, coated in smooth melted milk chocolate for a rich and decadent treat. These no-bake truffles are easy to make and perfect for parties or gifting.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 340 g Kit Kat chocolate bars (12 oz)
  • ⅓ cup sweetened condensed milk (80 ml)
  • Pinch of salt (optional)

Coating

  • 200 g milk chocolate for coating (7 oz)

Instructions

  1. Prepare baking sheet: Line a large baking sheet with baking paper to ensure the truffles do not stick.
  2. Crush KitKat bars: In a food processor, blitz the Kit Kat chocolate bars until they become rough crumbs, providing texture for the truffles.
  3. Mix ingredients: Transfer the Kit Kat crumbs into a large mixing bowl, add the sweetened condensed milk and a pinch of salt if using, then stir to combine thoroughly.
  4. Form truffle balls: Roll the mixture into tablespoon-sized balls, place them on the prepared baking sheet, and set aside to chill slightly.
  5. Melt coating chocolate: Using a high-sided bowl, melt the milk chocolate in the microwave in 30-second increments, stirring well between each to prevent overheating and ensure smoothness.
  6. Coat truffles: Drop each truffle ball into the melted milk chocolate, use a fork to turn and coat them completely with chocolate.
  7. Drain excess chocolate: Lift each coated truffle out with a fork, allow excess chocolate to drip off, then place them back onto the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Decorate: Optionally decorate the truffles with sprinkles or a drizzle of contrasting chocolate for added flair.
  9. Chill to set: Refrigerate the truffles for one to two hours until the chocolate coating is firm and set.
  10. Serve and enjoy: Once set, serve the KitKat Truffles chilled and store any leftovers in a cool place.

Notes

  • Ensure the milk chocolate is melted gently to avoid it seizing or burning.
  • Use good quality KitKat bars for best flavor intensity.
  • The pinch of salt is optional but enhances chocolate flavor.
  • Truffles can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
  • Decorations like sprinkles or drizzles of white or dark chocolate add a nice touch but are optional.
