Korean Banana Milk is a smooth, creamy, and naturally sweet drink made from ripe bananas blended with milk and condensed milk. This refreshing beverage captures the nostalgic flavors of a beloved Korean treat and is perfect chilled or served over ice for a delightful snack or dessert drink.

Ingredients

Banana Milk Base

  • 3 medium overripe bananas (about 7" long), sliced
  • 2/3 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1-2 tablespoons sugar (1 tablespoon for less sweet, 2 tablespoons for sweeter)
  • 1/4 - 1/3 cup condensed milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Additional Ingredients

  • 3 cups milk (can substitute with oat, almond, or preferred milk)
  • 1-2 medium overripe bananas, finely cubed (optional, for texture)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Bananas: Slice 3 medium overripe bananas into a large bowl or measuring cup. If desired, finely cube 1 to 2 additional bananas to add later for extra texture.
  2. Make Banana Milk Base: To the sliced bananas, add 2/3 cup milk, 1 to 2 tablespoons sugar depending on desired sweetness, 1/4 to 1/3 cup condensed milk, and optional 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. Use an immersion blender to blend the mixture until smooth and free of lumps. Adjust sweetness based on banana ripeness.
  3. Combine and Chill: Pour the blended banana milk base into a large drink container. Add 3 cups of milk and stir well to combine. If using, fold in the finely cubed bananas for added texture. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for a few hours to enhance flavors. Serve chilled or immediately over ice for a refreshing drink.

Notes

  • Use overripe bananas for maximum natural sweetness and banana flavor.
  • Adjust sugar and condensed milk according to how sweet your bananas are and your personal preference.
  • Vanilla extract is optional but adds a lovely depth of flavor.
  • Can substitute dairy milk with plant-based options like oat or almond milk for a vegan-friendly version, though condensed milk usage should be adjusted accordingly.
  • Serve chilled or over ice for best taste.
