Made quickly in the microwave, this creamy fudge can be customized with nuts, marshmallows, or candy additions. Perfect for holiday treats or anytime you crave a rich, sweet chocolate dessert.

Ingredients

Fudge Base

  • 3 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, cut into pieces

Optional Add-in

  • 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Gather Ingredients: Collect all necessary ingredients to have them ready for quick preparation.
  2. Combine Ingredients: In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine the semisweet chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter pieces.
  3. Microwave Mixture: Microwave the combined ingredients on medium heat for 3 to 5 minutes, stirring once or twice during cooking until the chocolate chips are fully melted and the mixture is smooth.
  4. Prepare Pan: While the chocolate mixture is melting, generously grease an 8-inch square glass baking dish to prevent sticking.
  5. Add Nuts: Remove the chocolate mixture from the microwave and stir in the chopped walnuts if using.
  6. Pour and Set: Pour the fudge batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly, and refrigerate until fully set, approximately 2 hours.
  7. Serve: Once set, cut the fudge into 16 equal squares and enjoy.

Notes

  • You can substitute the semisweet chocolate chips with peanut butter chips to make peanut butter fudge.
  • Feel free to add mini marshmallows or your favorite candy pieces before chilling for extra texture.
  • For a larger batch, double the recipe and bake in a 9x13-inch dish.
  • Ensure to stir the mixture during microwaving to avoid burning and achieve smooth consistency.
  • Keep the fudge refrigerated until ready to serve for optimal texture.
