This Pumpkin Tiramisu is an easy, no-bake autumn dessert that combines the creamy richness of mascarpone with the warm flavors of pumpkin pie spice. Layers of coffee-soaked ladyfingers are topped with a luscious pumpkin mascarpone cream and dusted with cocoa powder, making it a perfect festive treat that requires minimal effort but delivers maximum flavor.

Ingredients

Pumpkin Cream Mixture

  • 1 cup (240 g) pumpkin puree
  • ¾ cup (150 g) granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp (3 g) pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla extract
  • 1 container (8 oz / 227 g) mascarpone cheese, room temperature
  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy whipping cream

Ladyfinger Layer

  • 1½ cups (360 ml) brewed coffee or espresso, cooled
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) maple syrup or coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 1 package (7 oz / 200 g) ladyfingers (Savoiardi recommended)

Finishing

  • Unsweetened cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  1. Prepare Pumpkin Cream Mixture: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the pumpkin puree, sugar, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla extract until fully combined. Add the mascarpone cheese and mix until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  2. Whip the Cream: In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the pumpkin and mascarpone mixture, being careful not to deflate the cream.
  3. Mix Coffee Dipping Liquid: In a shallow dish, stir together the cooled brewed coffee or espresso with the maple syrup or coffee liqueur if using. This will be used to soak the ladyfingers.
  4. Dip Ladyfingers: Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are moist but not soggy. Layer the dipped ladyfingers in a 9x9-inch (23x23 cm) pan. Typically, six fit lengthwise across the top, three horizontal along the bottom left, and three halves across the bottom right; adjust based on your pan.
  5. Layer Pumpkin Cream: Spread half of the pumpkin cream mixture evenly over the first layer of ladyfingers. Follow by dipping another layer of ladyfingers and placing them on top, then spread the remaining cream over this second layer.
  6. Chill: Cover the assembled tiramisu and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow flavors to meld and the dessert to set.
  7. Serve: Before serving, dust the top generously with unsweetened cocoa powder to add a final touch of bitterness and decoration.

Notes

  • Use room temperature mascarpone for easier mixing and smooth texture.
  • Be careful not to soak the ladyfingers too long to avoid sogginess.
  • The dessert improves after sitting overnight but can be served after 4 hours if short on time.
  • Substitute coffee liqueur with extra maple syrup for a non-alcoholic version.
  • This dessert is best served chilled and should be stored in the refrigerator.
