A refreshing and creamy homemade Strawberry Italian Soda made with strawberry simple syrup, soda water, and a touch of cream. Perfect for a quick, delightful treat with vibrant strawberry flavor and a creamy finish.

Ingredients

For the Italian Soda

  • 1 ounce strawberry simple syrup
  • 6 ounces soda water (unflavored)
  • 1 ounce heavy cream (or substitute whole milk or half and half)
  • Ice (to fill glass)
  • Whipped cream (for garnish)
  • Fresh strawberry (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Glass with Ice: Fill your preferred glass completely with ice to chill the drink and keep it refreshing.
  2. Add Strawberry Syrup: Pour 1 ounce of strawberry simple syrup over the ice to add that sweet and fruity base flavor.
  3. Pour Soda Water: Add 6 ounces of unflavored soda water to the glass, filling it about three-quarters full to allow room for the cream.
  4. Layer Cream: Slowly pour 1 ounce of heavy cream (or your chosen substitute) on top of the soda water to create a creamy, luscious layer.
  5. Garnish: Add a generous dollop of whipped cream on top and place a fresh strawberry as a garnish to enhance presentation and flavor.
  6. Optional Syrup Drizzle: Drizzle extra strawberry syrup on top of the whipped cream if desired for added sweetness and visual appeal.
  7. Serve: Insert a straw and serve immediately to enjoy the fizzy, creamy strawberry Italian soda at its best.

Notes

  • You can substitute heavy cream with whole milk or half and half for a lighter version.
  • Adjust the amount of strawberry syrup to suit your preferred sweetness level.
  • Serve immediately to enjoy the carbonation and cream separation effect.
  • Use chilled soda water and glass for a colder, more refreshing drink.
